Everything you need to know about being an owner on Rubbl.
Rubbl is an online marketplace for your equipment. To the professional contractor, we are a turn-key rental shop that manages and provides all services required to run a rental from transportation and insurance through maintenance and repair. To the independent rental shop or dealer, we are both an extension of your fleet and a free sales and marketing channel to rent more equipment. If you, the owner, have the ability to provide additional services, such as transportation, repair, and maintenance services, Rubbl contract you as a service provider and generate even more income for you. Let's take a look at how this works.
Signing up
- To start listing your equipment, you will need to create an account. It's free and no payment information required.
-
Since owners will also likely also be renters, we run them through an approval process, similar to the renter, to keep our equipment, owners, and renters safe.
- Expect account verification to take less than 24 hours. We will notify you once you are approved.
- Check your approval status on your account page.
- If there are any issues during the verification process, we may ask for more information.
- Not approved yet? No problem, machines can still be inspected and orders can still be placed prior to account verification.
Listing Equipment
- Listing equipment on Rubbl is easy and can be done right from your mobile phone while you lay in bed. Listing is 100% free and you, the owner, have complete control of your rental rates and availability. There are absolutely no minimums.
- To list a machine, create an account and go to your owner dashboard. Click on the List Machine to start a new listing.
- Start by specifying the category, make, and model. Rubbl will automatically autofill your default rental rate. If you do not see your model, click the search link and locate by typing in the model number directly.
- Finish the listing by specifying the year, serial number, hours and address for your machine. Note, your address will not be publicly available.
- Next, you will be taken to the machine details where you will attach photographs, specify attachments, and rental purchase option (RPO) settings.
- Your machine will be reviewed by a Rubbl equipment manager withing 24 hours. Upon approval, the equipment manager will confirm your machine has been added to your online account and listed publicly.
- To update your rental rate or availability, access your account and choose Fleet from the menu. You will see a list of your machines and can edit any of them to change rates, availability and photos if necessary.
Insurance & Protection
- Protecting your equipment is our responsibility, not yours.
- We guarantee your equipment is always returned in the same condition it was received.

Service & Transportation
- Rubbl will manage the entire rental process for you, including all coordination and services required.
- All standard 250 hour maintenance checkpoints are coordinated by Rubbl. Each piece of equipment is equiped with a proprietary device to track engine runtime. Once equipment reaches the 200 hour threshold, we schedule and perform maintenance.
- We have a large network of equipment haulers and mechanics across the entire country. If you equipment is under warranty, we will contract the licensed technician for your services.
- In the event of mechanical failure on a job, we are going to handle the entire repair on your behalf. Renters are not allowed tamper with or repair your equipment. A Rubbl service technician will be assigned to every repair and will create all industry-standard work and service orders for the repair. This documentation, including a phone call from a Rubbl equipment manager, will be shared with you.
Filling an order
- Filling an order is simple and does require some mandatory actions to protect your equipment.
- Once an order has been placed, you will be recieve a machine availability check via email and text.
- After the machine availability check is completed and the renter is verified you will recieve a link to perform a checkout inspection. This inspection is similar to your listing inspection and will be used to capture the exact condition of the equipment before it leaves your yard.
- A Rubbl equipment manager will review your checkout inspection to approve it as rent-ready. Following approval, transportation will be coordinated for pickup of the machine.
- Once transportation has been scheduled, you and a site contact will be notified to coordinate exact time and location. Other information such as special loading requirements will be coordinated as well.
- If for some reason, you are unable to fill the order, you must notify Rubbl immediately so we can source another machine. We realize that equipment failures and scheduling issues arise so we are committed to working closely with you and need to keep cancellations to a minimum.
Getting Paid
- We require an ACH deposit account on file in order to transfer your earnings electronically.
- First earnings payment is made 45 days after first day on rent.
